Hailey Heckmann

Hailey is a Computer Systems Engineering major with an expected graduation date of May 2028. She played a leading role in the lab as one of the former Chief Engineers. Through her involvement with CREATE, she developed and expanded key skills in leadership, coding, 3D modeling + printing, electrical wiring + soldering, and team communication. She is now working toward software engineering roles and has completed internships with companies such as Capgemini and Gulfstream. Her experience in AI research + MCP frameworks at Capgemini, plus documentation from Gulfstream, and leadership skills at CREATE make her a competitive applicant in the Software Engineering job market.

Some of the projects she has contributed to include the Light-Bar Reaction Test, the plant watering system, a series of 3D printing initiatives, and the Heated Sleeve project. This website was put together by her. Using Ghost and a lot of HTML5 code injection. After completing her undergraduate degree, Hailey plans to pursue grad school for Computer Engineering.
