Lucas Rafael Valderrama

Lucas Valderrama is a sophomore at the University of Georgia, pursuing a major in Mechanical engineering by May 2028, with an interest in design and manufacturing. To Lucas, CREATE labs represents more than just a research facility, but a place where clients to put their ideas from concepts to reality.

Beyond engineering, Lucas has also engaged with research in other fields, such as cancer research. This work, while outside of his major, broadened his appreciation for how discoveries in one field can inspire others. It shaped his perspective on innovation as an interconnected effort, where scientific progress comes from the insights of multiple disciplines.
