Marcus DiBattista

Marcus DiBattista was the founder of CREATE, establishing the organization in January of 2022. His vision as an undergraduate was to form a highly skilled team of engineering students dedicated to assisting the university and its partners with projects requiring engineering expertise, including entrepreneurial, scientific, senior design, and industry initiatives. Marcus handed the ropes to Ryan Formel and Kevin Wu when he graduated in the Spring of 2023 from UGA with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

He is currently a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant and a Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. Student at the UGA Innovation Factory, having joined the doctoral program in 2023. Marcus's research interests are deeply rooted in advanced manufacturing, including the application of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Cyber-Physical Systems into Agriculture and Manufacturing. Beyond his academic pursuits, Marcus enjoys running, water sports, and playing the guitar, piano, and viola. He also shares his passion for engineering projects and DIY tutorials on his YouTube channel.
