Matthew Emde

Matthew is in his third year at the college of engineering, working on his mechanical engineering degree with a certificate of aerospace engineering, and plans to graduate in 2028. He has experience in construction and machining, focused on 3D printing technology. He is interested in the fields of space exploration, manufacturing and mechatronics. At CREATE, he is learning more machining techniques and embedded systems technologies.

Outside of CREATE, matthew is active in several student organizations within the university. He is a powertrain engineer on UGA Motorsports's SAE electric vehicle team, a member of the mechanism design team for the Design, Build, Fly competition, and is currently working towards his level 2 rocketry certification with the school's chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Outside of engineering, he is a DJ for the University's alternative radio station, WUOG 90.5.
